In 2003, Monsanto Company incorporated a new element, consisting of the tagline "imagine" with the "ag" letters highlighted, into its standard logo. Use of this element is intended to help convey the message that Monsanto is an innovative, agricultural company that creates relevant solutions for farmers, consumers and the environment.

This composite image, a Monsanto trademark, was chosen as a forward-thinking, open and positive way to communicate Monsanto's dedication to the agricultural business. The word 'imagine' is an open invitation for dialogue consistent with The Monsanto Pledge. Highlighting the 'ag' reinforces our position as an innovative agricultural company with unlimited possibilities. The direct simplicity of the concept is user-friendly and translates well across many languages.

It is important that those who would use the Monsanto Imagine and Vine Symbol logo (the "Logo") understand the guidelines that define what is appropriate usage. If you have questions relative to proper use, please Contact Us to submit your question.

Permission to Use Logo

The Logo as described and portrayed herein is a registered trademark of Monsanto. Except as expressly stated below, the Logo may not be used in any way, including advertising or publicity pertaining to the distribution of materials on this site, without prior written permission from Monsanto. A "®" must be placed next to the Logo any time it is used. Specifically, it should be placed next to the word "imagine". See graphic representation on this page for reference. Any use of this Logo should include the following attribution statement:

"Monsanto Imagine and the Vine Design are registered trademarks of Monsanto Technology LLC."

Note: Monsanto Imagine is a registered trademark logo in the United States and a number of other countries. Questions as to whether this logo is a registered trademark in a specific country need to be routed through the trademark department in St. Louis. Please send inquiry to team.logo@monsanto.com.

The Logo, usage guidelines and downloadable images are available here for the convenience of those persons and organizations that have received permission from Monsanto to use the Logo. Any person or organization that has not received permission to use the Logo must request and receive written permission prior to such use. In general,

• Agencies that are working under contract with Monsanto to produce advertising and promotional materials are granted permission to download and use the Logo images as part of that work
• The Logo cannot be used in another company's promotional or marketing materials, regardless of format (e.g., wearables, on-line materials, packaging) if Monsanto is not directly involved; if Monsanto is involved in said promotion or marketing, permission must be requested and will be granted, or not, based on review
• In no case shall permission be granted for use of the Logo that is meant to misrepresent, defame or in any way harm Monsanto or the Logo

Presentation Guidelines:

The Logo has three distinctive elements: the word "Monsanto", the word "imagine" used as a tagline below it, and the vine symbol to the right.

• Never separate, rearrange or resize the elements of the Logo.
• Do not attempt to redraw or recreate the Logo.
• Translation into other languages is not permitted nor is it necessary as the "imagine" text in the Logo is easily interpreted across many languages in its original form.
